Linda Walsham - PRINCIPAL
Royal Academy of Dance and BBO Registered Teacher
Linda trained at The Bush Davies School of Performing Arts - a vocational centre of excellence with an International cohort of students and inspirational teachers. At the age of 17 she successfully auditioned for the Israel Ballet Company.
Linda has taught extensively both in the United States and the UK and with over 25 years of teaching experience she is committed to passing on her expertise and passion to the next generation of dancers.
As well as being a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and BBO Dance examination bodies, Linda was among the first cohort to train and be awarded Affiliate teacher status with The Royal Ballet School in January 2023.
Beckenham Ballet Academy was established in 2013 and has a 100% success rate of students gaining entry into their chosen Vocational Dance schools and Colleges at 11, 16 and 18. BBA students are currently studying at, or have studied at The Royal Ballet School White Lodge, Elmhurst, Central School of Ballet, Urdang, London Studio Centre, English National Ballet, Rambert, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Laine Theatre Arts, Arts Educational, Tring, London Vocational Ballet School and Bird College.
Joshua Arkey (Josh)
BA in Classical Ballet & DIP Musical Theatre
Josh is a Dancer, Singer, Actor, Acrobat and Aerialist from Sydney, Australia. He is a graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Classical Ballet and Diploma in Music Theatre.
At the age of 8 years old, Josh was quickly immersed into the world of performance when he was cast to originate the role of Benjamin in the World premiere of Tony Award winning musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Josh has worked for some of the biggest entertainment companies in the world including The Walt Disney Company, Warner Brothers International, RWS Entertainment and Royal Caribbean. Josh’s favourite contract so far was working for The Walt Disney Company in Beauty and the Beast as the Dance Captain & Swing. Most recently he was part of the Step One Dance Company.
Josh has been teaching for over 15 years with experience in Acrobatics, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Aerial Circus & Singing.
Harry trained at The Urdang Academy in London where he gained a Level 6 Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre.
Prior to attending Urdang Harry trained in Musical Theatre at the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology
Since graduating, Harry has worked with various Theatre companies across the country, performing as both a singer and dancer on cruise ships and has written and produced music for a variety of artists and record labels in London.
Over the last 4 years, Harry has taught both dance and singing at various London dance schools and Performing Arts colleges.
Recently he has completed his Rambert Grades Member training, making him one of only 250 teachers in the world able to teach their syllabus in Contempoary Dance.
BBA is excited to be one of the first schools in the UK able to offer this syllabus to our students.

Harry Butters
Joe trained at the BRIT School gaining a Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting) and then went on to study at the prestigious Rose Bruford College in London where he obtained his Batchelor of Arts Degree in Acting.
As a child he performed in the West End production of Oliver for 18 months gaining invaluable stage experience, and has been involved in television both on screen as a series regular, and behind the scenes as a Runner and Assistant Director.
His extensive training and performance history inform his dynamic teaching style, inspiring students to explore and excel in the dramatic arts.
Joe is dedicated to nurturing the creative talents of the BBA students, fostering a love for theatre, and guiding them through the exploration of both classical and contemporary works through LAMDA . His commitment to excellence and his vibrant enthusiasm for drama make him an integral part of the BBA team.
