WELCOME TO BECKENHAM BALLET ACADEMY

At Beckenham Ballet Academy, we want every child to feel happy, confident and inspired when they walk through our doors.

We are a friendly, welcoming and inclusive dance school with a real passion for excellent training. Ballet is at the heart of what we do, but our students can also enjoy Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz Technique, Tap, Musical Theatre and Acro, as well as our Adult Ballet and Tap classes.

Whether your child comes once a week simply because they love to dance, or dreams of taking their training further, there is a place for them at BBA.

Our classes are designed to be fun, challenging and rewarding, helping our students build confidence, technique, musicality and performance skills while, most importantly, enjoying their dancing.

NEW FOR SATURDAYS - Beckenham Performing Arts -BPA

We are also delighted to introduce our new Beckenham Performing Arts Saturday Academy (BPA).

Designed for children in School Years 3–6, BPA brings together dance, singing and acting in one exciting Saturday morning.

Students can experience a variety of styles, develop their performance skills, build confidence and make new friends — all while being taught by experienced, qualified teachers.

It is the perfect choice for children who love performing and want to do a little bit of everything.

BALLET TRAINING AT BBA

We offer Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Graded and Vocational Ballet examinations.

Students who show particular potential and commitment can also progress into our vocational training programme, with additional ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical and performance classes available as they develop.

Our students have also performed with The Royal Ballet Company, Birmingham Royal Ballet Company , English National Ballet Company, London Children's Ballet and National Youth Ballet, as well as appearing in West End productions including Matilda, Billy Elliot, Oliver, Annie, School of Rock and Ruthless.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN A HAPPY ENVIRONMENT

Our teachers are professionally trained and qualified, hold current Enhanced DBS certificates and Public Liability Insurance, and regularly undertake further training in safeguarding and safe teaching practice.

We take our training seriously — but we also want BBA to be somewhere children genuinely look forward to coming each week.

From a child's very first ballet class to advanced vocational training, our aim is simple:
