Sophie Young

Sophie trained at Beckenham Ballet Academy for seven years before going on to study for a degree in Dance and Musical Theatre at Bird Conservatoire.

Her professional performance experience includes playing Alice in the UK & Ireland tour of Matilda, performing on the main stage at MOVE IT with Bird Conservatoire, appearing as part of the ensemble in 13 The Musical at the Ambassadors Theatre in London, and performing in two pantomimes at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.

Having grown up dancing at BBA herself, Sophie is especially excited to be returning as a teacher. She is passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated, and loves sharing her experience and love of dance with the next generation of performers at our new Beckenham Performing Arts Saturday Academy BPA.
